Mix preference-point states (CO, WY) with random-draw states (NM, ID). Preference states reward loyalty; random draws give everyone a fair shot each year. Apply in both to maximize your chances of drawing a tag somewhere every season.
Use 2nd/3rd Choices Strategically
Put your dream unit as first choice and a high-odds realistic unit as second choice. In states like Colorado, if you miss your first choice, your second choice still competes in the regular pool. Never waste a choice on a unit with zero availability.
Don't Let Points Go to Waste
Monitor point creep in the Draw Odds Engine. If the minimum points to draw a unit increases every year, your points are losing value. Know when to burn points on a good-enough tag rather than chasing a unit that's getting harder each year.
