Unit 083 (Star Valley / Lincoln County)

Pronghorn in Area 083 concentrate on the sage-grass bench lands east of the Star Valley floor and along the lower foothills of the Salt River Range. The valley floor itself is primarily private agricultural land — focus hunting effort on the public land sage benches and BLM uplands. Animals move between the bench sagebrush and lower irrigated areas depending on season and pressure.

The mixed terrain of the Star Valley area rewards hunters who scout carefully before the season to identify public land access corridors. The valley floor is predominantly private — use a mapping app to identify BLM bench lands and access routes before hunting. Foothill terrain provides more stalk cover than the open valley floor.
