Where to Find Bighorn Sheep in Oquirrh-stansbury, West

Desert bighorn sheep on the west side of the Stansbury Mountains concentrate on steep rocky terrain, cliff faces, and talus slopes from the foothills to the high ridgeline. Water sources are critical — sheep consistently use springs and natural rock tanks on the western slope. Glass cliff systems and rocky benches from below, particularly in morning when sheep are active after dawn movement to water and feeding areas.
