Where to Find Coues Deer in Unit 06B

Coues whitetails in Unit 06B concentrate in the oak-covered hillsides and canyon drainages of the Galiuro Mountains and Aravaipa Creek watershed.

Oak Woodland Benches (4,500–6,500 ft)

Unit 06B rewards patient glassers. Coues deer are notoriously difficult to spot — a mature buck can vanish into a hillside at 400 yards. The standard approach is spot-and-stalk with quality glass.
